MTV Africa To Broadcast The Return Of The 2022 Miss Teenager South Africa Pageant
To wrap up Women’s Month with a bang, MTV Africa will broadcast the much anticipated return of the 2022 Miss Teenager South Africa pageant. The pageant’s focus is to empower young women to develop the confidence they need to be the best versions of themselves. The event is lead by an inspiring team of businesswomen who believe that a confident young woman has the power to make real change in their community and the world.
The founders of Miss Teenager SA are a team of strong women including qualified somatologist Masego Koena in the role of CEO, model agent Katlego Ncala, age 21, in the position of Director, seasoned award-winning entrepreneur Trinity Ncala in the role of Operation Manager, and pageant queen Tumelo Matela in the role of Head of Marketing.
This year’s Miss Teenager SA pageant is more significant and improved than in years before. Because it did not happen in 2020, all competitors are prepared to compete for the top prize while participating in a mentorship and empowerment program and taking on the responsibility that goes along with it. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a teenage girl develop into a self-assured young woman, and this show does just that.
Set to air on MTV Africa DStv Channel 130 on 27 August at 16:00. During the broadcast, the current Miss Teenager SA, Kayleigh Jephta, will pass the crown to another audacious teenager who is a motivating role model for both African and South African youth.
“As we wrap up our Women’s Month programming, bringing the 2022 Miss Teenager South Africa pageant to our audience is, in my opinion, completely aligned with our objective as a channel. At BET Africa, inclusion is a core value. We are committed to encouraging gender equality while also nurturing, empowering, and jointly elevating exceptional female talent. The power of being young, talented, and international, regardless of your background, is perfectly illustrated by this across all of our functional areas and shows.” Said Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Paramount Africa.
The reigning Miss Teenager SA Kayleigh Jephta is currently a second year Psychology student and at the University of the Western Cape. After relinquishing her crown, she will continue to work with the pageant to address young people’s mental health challenges.
