In an exclusive SABC interview, shared on X (formerly Twitter) on October 12th. Nastassja Jansen, one of the former accused G4S employees caught up in the Thabo Bester controversy. A significant development unfolded at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court when Magistrate Estelle de Lange dropped charges against three individuals, namely Nastassja Jansen, Thabang Matthews Mier, and Moeketsi April Ramolula, in connection with the Thabo Bester case, as reported by SowetanLive. These charges included allegations of obstructing justice, fraud, corruption, aiding an inmate’s escape, concealing an escaped offender, violating a corpse, and arson.

Magistrate de Lange succinctly announced her decision, stating, “I withdraw all charges against the three accused. You are free to go.”

She expressed her bewilderment regarding the circumstances of her alleged framing, highlighting a lack of clarity in the police investigation. In her own words, she stated, “I firmly believe I was made a scapegoat. And I cannot explain how it happened.

In conclusion, during the courtroom proceedings, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester were scheduled to make their first joint appearance since their arrest in Tanzania earlier this year. However, a dramatic turn of events occurred as Dr. Magudumana reportedly fainted just moments before her court appearance. However, according to her lawyer, Machini Motloung, he alleged that Magudumana was one of several inmates at the Bizzah Makhate Correctional Centre in Kroonstad who had suffered from food poisoning. This unexpected development added an extra layer of intrigue to the unfolding saga.
